What you'll learn...

Understand the vulnerabilities inherent in IP networks, and the exploits used by hackers to compromise networked devices and data.

Learn the measures that can be used to identify and thwart potential attacks by intruders from the Internet, and from inside an organization.

Explore the basics of cryptography and how it's applied to transactions and data to provide security.

Identify the pros and cons of implementing a certificate-based infrastructure, and how a PKI environment operates.

See how authentication is applied to remote network connections, and how Radius can provide centralized access management.

Understand the functions of network and port address translations used by network devices for connectivity.

Learn how security can be applied to transactions via session or application controlled mechanisms.

See how firewalls provide perimeter security for network environments.

     Hands-on exercises

Attendees will implement, test and analyze traffic from devices on insecure and secured IP networks.
