Course Overview

Become a Wireless Professional in one of the fastest growing technologies in the IT industry today with the Certified Wireless Professional (CWP) certification.

Wireless LANs (WLANs) offer many advantages - lower cost, faster implementation and greater flexibility, to name a few. But hastily built WLANs can be unreliable and create a security risk. Understanding and adhering to the unique requirements for designing WLANs is critical for success.

Developed by Todd Lammle, the Wireless Certification program is the first and only vendor neutral Wireless certification program available today and targets technical leaders who wish to acquire the skills and unique requirements to successfully implement and manage wireless network solutions for organizations or clients.

This 5-day course consists of two tracks, Certified Wireless Administrator™ (CWA™) and Certified Wireless Security Expert™ (CWSE™).  Upon successful completion of both  courses, students immediately take both the written and lab exams. Those who pass will have earned the Certified Wireless Professional (CWP) designation.

Certified Wireless Administrator™ (CWA™) Certification.
For the WLAN administrator or for those making inroads into the wireless networking industry. This 2-day Introduction to wireless technologies includes hands-on with both 802.11a and 802.11b clients and Access Points.

CWA is recognized for 28 hours of BICSI CECs under RCDD/LAN/Installation.

Certified Wireless Security Expert™ (CWSE™)
Gain an understanding of the security risks that exist when deploying wireless networks and the considerations, methodologies and tools that allow such risks to be mitigated. Through real-world deployment simulations, this interactive 3-day lab-intensive class will provide hands-on experience implementing these tools and methodologies and will provide the in depth knowledge required to design, deploy, and maintain a secure wireless infrastructure.

Prerequisites: It is recommended that all students have at least a basic knowledge of networking (as exhibited in Net+, CCNA, or MCP) prior to enrolling in the CWP program.

Boot Camp developed by Mr. Todd Lammle.

Todd Lammle is a best-selling author, trainer and chief scientist as well President and CEO of several technology and training corporations. He has over 20 years experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting LANs, WANs, fiber optic and wireless networks for Fortune 500 companies. His hands-on experience has been instrumental in making complex and difficult-to-understand networking concepts easy and fun to learn.

Todd is the author of more than 35 SYBEX study guides and network training classes.  His most popular book, the SYBEX CCNA Study Guide, has been the best selling networking book in the world, two years in a row! (Even outselling Cisco Press).  He is the 2002 winner of Certcities.com's prestigious "Best Study Guide Author."

Following from the methods taught in his books, Todd's training courses provide the most extensive hands-on, lab based training available today.
